For almost a decade, the Plain White T’s have been playing to packed audiences craving for that perfect pop-punk punch. Their journey, which began during their high school years in the suburbs of Chicago, attracted a loyal following thanks to frontman Tom Higgenson’s ridiculously melodic tales of teen angst and love. Since then, the band has hit the charts, played the Warped Tour several times, and landed opening slots for bands like Jimmy Eat World and AFI.
The Plain White T’s sold thousands of copies of their self-released 2002 debut, “Stop,” before being picked up by Fearless Records, which re-issued the album along with 2005s “All That We Needed.” But it was their heartfelt, acoustic-tinged single “Hey There Delilah” that cemented their status as potential hitmakers.
On their Hollywood Records debut “Every Second Counts,” the Plain White T’s continue to turn the personal into the universal, telling of hook-ups and break-ups and the emotional rollercoaster in between.
